John Buckwalter This power pop EXPLODES out of your speakers. "Solo Show" sounds like 1966 Who filtered through the Posies Frosting, right into 2022. Think the best of Ryan Allen's solo albums (also highly recommended!) We love you Classic Traffic. Favorite track: Solo Show.

Solo Show 02:32
The light in you is a dusty bulb Hardly shining, all alone Flickering, it’s no surprise No one needed you anyway The chemicals you’ve been prescribed Are making you less alive Showing how you feel inside Everybody runs away and hides You’re a Last minute add-on, solo show Behind the beat, buzzing notes. Four songs, 15 minutes Solo show. On the stage you’re indisposed Suddenly the panic grows Flee the scene and no one knows No ones wondering “where’d he go?” All your friends missed the set You thought it was the worst one yet You messed up twice and skipped a song “You wrote it, how could you get it wrong?” Last minute add-on, solo show Behind the beat, buzzing notes. 7 people faking interest after Four songs, At your 15 minute Solo show

I’m addicted to revenge. To get my fix I use my fists. I don’t often use my words But when I do they’re gonna hurt I see red and then you’ll be seeing stars Best be ready for the harm that is to come I’ll be plotting out the ways in which you’ll burn You tried to wrong me and now you are gonna learn.. I’m addicted to revenge It smells like blood and tastes so sweet I get off on getting back. You had your fun, now I’ll have mine. I see red and then you’ll be seeing stars Best be ready for the harm that is to come I’ll be plotting out the ways in which you’ll burn You tried to wrong me and now you are gonna learn.. Now that it’s done, things feel kind of wrong The thrill is the hunt and chase The road to bad intentions Is paved with your bones Cracked and caved in skulls. Everyone has their day And soon it will be mine.

Hand out to feed the night Reach for a veiled prize Let some light stumble in. Let somebody hold you. Strange illuminations Lend infatuation Let some light stumble in Let somebody hold you. Taking forever Say that it’s yours Let the light float away It’s far too dark tonight To ache for the starlight Let the night float away Let somebody keep you here. You fell in love with the part But enough is enough is enough Clotting a bleeding heart You’re gonna miss the world You fell in love with the part But enough is enough is enough See me before you depart You’re gonna miss the world.

I Am a Dream 01:31
You treat me as if I am a dream You dig in deep and then you leave Leaving me stuck in-between the crumble and sheen You treat me as if I am a dream We’re both unsure of what I mean Leaving me stuck in-between The crumble and sheen. The sky and the sheets A yawn and a scream Piercing me.

There’s a couple in the kitchen Making a mess of what’s missing One of them is screaming “Babe, you know that I don’t mean it” 8:03 in light, opened wide It’s the same time every night they depart but appear the same Picking up where they left off for me. A ten minute window to see pain through the pane. A ten minute window And me, i’m sitting Using my eyes to listen I fill in what i’m missing The curtains close, they go on living. A ten minute window to see pain through the pane. A ten minute window.

True Blue 02:28
Gotta find out the secret What’s in the top hat, where’s the rabbit? I try to accept the mystery But all I think is “how could this be?” It’s true blue, holding you Closer to me True blue, magic you Vanishing Now I’m part of the secret I’ll be your eager volunteer Pull something from behind my ear You cut me in half and the audience laughs It’s true blue, holding you Closer to me True blue, magic you Vanishing. Its true blue, cloaking you Secretly It’s true blue, loving your mystery.

A pilot is burning At fifty thousand feet On a solo expedition. Hurling toward infinity Beneath him, you’re a lover Hoping he makes it home Up above him, clouds parting As if to welcome him in He’s forced to choose Between you and the moon No radar can catch him Controls read error message Engines stall, in free fall Hurling toward infinity On your lonesome, at the window Looking out, achingly Hardly stars out, one is burning You wonder if he sees it And if he’ll name it After you But it’s only You and the moon
8.
Looking at you in a picture, something forever remembered. It has me Taking stock of memories, the real you and the reveries. I admire your trajectory on your way to me. I liken you to a fever, sending heat into my head. You’re A somersault of energy, a blooming bliss that’s warming me, filling me with certainty of serene belief I’m awful sentimental Memories on a mantle Every day I touch it I find new ways to love it A perfect composition admiring your position Inside of my heart And now you’re living inside me, claiming the space as your own. I feel you bouncing off the walls at night, dancing in the morning light, taking care of everything, doing all of this so lovingly I’m awful sentimental Memories on a mantle Every day I touch it I find new ways to love it A perfect composition admiring your position Inside my heart

about

The concept of traffic is often rage inducing, but for the boys in Classic Traffic there is nothing quite like an Eight-Car Pileup. After years of deliberation and a band practice that left instruments ravaged, an idea came to fruition. Utilizing Guitar Center’s return policy, eight songs were written, recorded and mixed in a matter of weeks. With songs about a pilot exploding in the sky and a man addicted to the plot of revenge, Classic Traffic offers up eight power pop gems on their first self-titled album “Classic Traffic.” This album is no nonsense, bumper to bumper.
